The Challenge

Our client’s point-of-sales application functioned in a silo and required a highly manual process to load and maintain their POS sales information. This led to data inconsistency and quality issues. These issues prevented our client from meeting corporate reporting needs and resulted in a three- to four-month delay in distributing sales bonuses to their employees.

The Solution

Our solution uses custom web services to allow for near-real-time, automated integration of data from various sources, processing more than 500 distributers and 3,000 files per month. Using an ETL process, our custom POS solution performs data quality checks on this information and consolidates it into a centralized data repository. The data is then integrated into an enterprise data warehouse for reporting and analytics on sales and marketing information in a powerful, easy-to-use dashboard.
